Shark Expo

At the Palazzo del Turismo in Lido di Jesolo, the Shark Expo is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of sharks.

You can admire 32 sharks from 16 different species, such as the Zambesi or Leucas shark, also known as the bull shark, the elegant zebra shark, the enormous lemon shark and the extremely rare hammerhead shark.

Sharks are found all over the world in various sizes, from the smallest pygmy shark or dogfish to the 18-meter whale shark.

These large predator fish are wrongly considered to be dangerous and harmful to humans. Numerous films have contributed to this common myth, which the organizers of Shark Expo want to dispel.

With the sharks in large tanks at a short distance, the visitor can finally discover and understand them up close. You will be able to learn the differences between the species, discover their social and reproductive habits and learn about their senses, breathing, nutrition and natural habitat.

The exhibition is enriched by memorabilia from around the world, such as movies, cartoons, original jaw and tooth fossils, antique and modern anti-shark devices and other items pertaining to the world of sharks. The future may even bring the arrival of the tiger shark, which is more than 3 meters in size and needs a space that is both large and suitable for public viewings. Another reason to visit the Shark Expo.
